Saturday Scripture
Matthew 6:19
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
You are so good to me and have generously blessed me in the many ways. May I keep those gifts in their proper place and not allow them to become idols. My possessions on earth will break, age, and lose their luster. But my treasure in you and heaven is secure and lasts forever. Rid my heart of the greed and envy that so often creeps in. I have all I need and more in you.
