Saturday Scripture

Philippians 2:3-4

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Prayer:

Papa God,
Thank you for Paul’s letter to the Philippians and the many words of encouragement and joy it contains. Like these verses remind me, I pray my motives are rooted in you and in humility. May I look to the needs of others before my own and serve them like you serve us. I know I am quick to be selfish, so I ask you to help me look outward to others and to give you the glory. Thank you, Lord, for you unending patience with me and teaching me how I can better be your child.
