2 Chronicles 30:9
For the LORD your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.
Prayer
Lord, I’ve been a Christian long enough to know when I’ve allowed my attention to be drawn away from you, and when I’ve set up my own desires instead of yours. When this happens, the first thing I have to do is humble myself and confess. Then, the second thing is to turn to you within my heart and allow you to have your rightful place as Lord of my life. I’m thankful, Lord, that you are gracious and compassionate. I thank you, Lord, that you do no turn your face against me if I mess up. Today I choose to humble myself and approach you. May your compassion draw me close and your grace wrap around my heart.
